2002 Holiday Party

On December 15th, 2002, Blue Circle Studio and Gallery held its second annual holiday party to celebrate the winter solstice and ring in the new year. The party featured "Images & Reflections," an exhibit of BCS student paintings.
More than 100 guests attended the holiday feast, which included Bill Daley's peanut Szechuan noodles, Karen Collins' homemade sushi, Dana Platt's pesto extravaganza, Monica Gilhuly's cheesecake, and assorted other treats.

Throughout the party, several budding artists created holiday cards with handmade papers, glitter, gold stars, stamps, and metallic markers. The youngest artist in attendance was Fijare Plous, a six-month old painter whose abstract piece "My First Day" was sought by a local restuarant owner hoping to build his art collection. Plous, who created the work when only 16 hours old, declined the purchase for sentimental reasons.
